Reviews from students/parents
By Jim S. Tuba Chris was a terrific instructor in all respects. Assisted by his composition skills, he created an effective lesson plan that took me through a clear set of steps that allowed me to get where I wanted to go with this set of lessons. And he did so with enthusiasm. Highly recommended. By Joe Arrangement and Composition Chris was giving my child trombone lessons when we got to talking about some song lyrics I had written. Just for fun and because he LOVES composing music Chris eagerly took up my challenge to put music to the words. Now, instead of a bunch of verses I have a song and Chris deserves all the credit. By Andrew Buckley Trombone and Tuba Chris was a truly great instructor and really helped me improve on the trombone, tuba, and euphonium. Not only was Chris a great teacher, but his lessons were a lot of fun. The lessons were key in getting me to the musician I am today. Chris gave me challenging music to play, but also gave fun music, such as movie themes. I highly recommend getting lessons from Chris, he is fun to play with and to learn from. By Cathy O'Keeffe My son took lessons from Chris for two years. Not only did his ability to play trombone and tuba improve significantly, but he truly enjoyed his lesson time. Chris has a wonderful ability to connect with kids (my son was in 7th and 8th grades) and to challenge them with music that interests them. Because of Chris, my son made the Southeastern Massachusetts District Jazz Band, a feat he would not have been able to accomplish with Chris' guidance. Chris helped to instill a lifelong love of music in my son, and to help him see that practicing can really pay off. By Sally My son took classes from Chris and I have never seen him more motivated and interested in lessons before. His skills as a trombonist improved significantly but he also became more invested as a musician in general. By Sam Grant Trombone Chris is a fantastic instructor. Not only is he a great musician, he is fun to work with and learn from. Anyone would benefit from having him as a teacher, just like I have! By Heather Boulger Trombone My daughter learned so much that year and he really helped develop her confidence as well by helping her perform more |

As for teaching, Chris has instructed students in the King Philip Music program since October 2012 to help them attain technique on their instrument, musicality, and knowledge of music theory in general, and has had students make Southeast Senior and Junior District ensembles in MA. Now he is involved with Brandeis High School's Music Club and offers private brass instruction on his own. He also provides instruction in composition and music software such as Finale and Digital Performer. Please visit the contact page if you have any further inquiries.
